Challenge Page Details

Challenges are time-based events where individuals or teams work towards a step goal. Only steps recorded during the challenge dates count towards the challenge results. Please read below to learn about the different information available on a challenge page

At the top of the display, you will see the name of the challenge and the date range it covers. You will either see a button allowing you to join, a notification that you have joined, or an explanation that joining isn’t available. Below, the map will show your progress on your virtual journey and how you compare to other walkers. You can use “Fly to Member” to check where a specific walker is.

In your Challenge Overview, you’ll see details on the challenge, including the date range of the competition. On your discussion board, you can see comments and photos posted from your fellow members.

To add a photo, click “Add a Photo” before submitting your comment.

The Total Step Goal will tell you how many steps it takes to complete the challenge route. This is determined by the daily step goal and the number of days in the challenge, rather than by the physical length depicted in the route. This allows us to have a wider variety of interesting challenges covering all sorts of global locations and themes.

The Challenge Leaderboard will show you a selection of users in the challenge, including the current step leader as well as several users around your current step level. In challenges with many users, not all users will be shown at the same time.

You can hover over a user’s name or bar to see the number of steps they currently have in this challenge.
