Connect a Device or App (iOS)
Connect or Disconnect a Device or App for Syncing
Your wellness app has the ability to sync data automatically from your fitness tracking app or device. See list of compatible devices here.
The connection process varies depending on the platform you are using to access the wellness platform (mobile/desktop). YOU MUST USE THE MOBILE APP TO CONNECT A DEVICE
To sync Apple Health:
Note: if you are using an Apple Watch, you should sync to Apple Health as this is where your steps will be stored.
1) Open the menu icon in the top left corner in you wellness app account. Click on ‘Add/Manage Device’ and choose ‘Connect to Health Kit’
2) You will be prompted to share data with Health Kit, a data provider. Select ‘Connect to Health Kit’ and allow permissions when asked – this will allow the platform to pull data regarding your daily steps and heart rate.
To disconnect Apple Health:
1) Open the Settings panel in your Be Well platform.
2) Turn off the toggle for ‘Sync Using Apple Health’.
To sync an alternate App or Device:
1) Open the menu icon in the top left corner in your wellness app
2) Select 'Add / Manage Device'
3) Select the ‘Connect’ button below the device you’re trying to connect.
4) When prompted, enter the login credentials for the account connected to your device or app.
Note: this maybe different from your Be Well login.
5) When asked to share permissions, you will need to approve sharing for Be Well to sync steps.
6) You may also be prompted to agree to Terms of Service; accept as required.
To Disconnect a Device:
1) Open the Settings panel in your Be Well platform.
2) Select ‘Add/ Manage Device’
3) On the screen showing your connected device, select and confirm ‘Disconnect’.
